Large room, everything was very good. The staff were really helpful and location was good and incredible. The restaurant was nice with hot food. The breakfasts were great and the service was efficient! Plus, I was able to park the car nearby.

I booked this hotel because I needed to get some work done on my laptop so I emailed ahead to ensure there would be working internet. Upon my arrival however, (They had no record of me coming) once shown into the smallest shabbiest room I have ever seen in my life, there was no connection whatsoever. I felt so sorry of the poor man working there, he seemed terrified of his boss! He moved my room in order for me to work, which I really appreciate, but even the new slightly larger room he showed me was grimy and the beds were damp. I left, unable to get back any money as I had paid by card and I didn't want to get the man on duty into any trouble!
Really I have nothing positive to say about the place except that while I do appreciate that the worker on duty tried to accommodate me, he was unable to refund my money when I told him I wouldn't be staying. The place was freezing and just so run down and dirty I couldn't bear to think of what might be living between the sheets! I didn't want to get anyone fired so I left without a refund, thinking back I really shouldn't have! The place is falling apart and the beds are like a pile of coat-hangers. No effort has gone into making the traveller comfortable, it's obviously just a cash cow for the owner. The mattresses and duvets are filthy and thin. I appreciate how cheap this place is so I would recommend it only under the most dire circumstances when there is absolutely no other alternative. Although even then you might be better off taking a chance sleeping in the gutter..

Centrally located with easy access to nearby attractions. The breakfast spread featured a variety of options, including a generous Scottish breakfast that was a pleasant surprise.
Rooms are quite cramped, with single accommodations feeling especially tight and bathroom space barely adequate for comfort. My bed was wedged between two walls. The mattress was too firm for my liking, contributing to a less-than-restful sleep, and the heating system might not suit everyone's preferences. The layout of the TV made it awkward to watch from bed, as I had to twist awkwardly around the bathroom corner. While the main area seemed functional, a lounge space would have been appreciated for relaxation after a long day. The location is good, but parking can get complicated if you need extended access-might want to plan ahead for that.

The location.
Unfortunately my husband and I booked trusting the pictures on the internet. These obviously need updating as they give the prospective traveller the wrong idea about the hotel! Disappointing stay.

Leaving it
Filthy room, not eveen hoovered. Shower facility broken and had to share 1 grotty shower between 2 floors.Aggressive, unhelpful, unaccommodating staff. Breakfast abismal, undercooked and taken away fron us at 9.30 as we were told to leave breakfast was over. Will never stay again and would advise to avoid at all costs.

My reason for the stay was unusual.... Had to evacuate my home for the night while my nephew hosted a birthday party! All I wanted was a cheap clean room for the night. For the price, however, what I got far exceeded all reasonable expectations. And the breakfast, while not gargantuan, was faultless, again especially for the price. That extra (hot!) toast appeared immediately it was requested and without any dark mutterings is more than I was entitled to expect. And more than I have experienced at some far more expensive chains. A first class suite on the qe2 with hot and cold running entertainment it aint. But an extremely acceptable clean, comfortable, efficiently and quietly run b&b in the West end it most certainly is.Which is all it claims to be. A wee gem to be recommended.
Nothing. As I said above, it does exactly what it says on the tin. And does it with quiet efficiency.

It was just a good match for a whistle-stop in Glasgow with good price-quality ratio. The check-in was friendly and efficient, made everything smooth. Book a room on the ground floor if you prefer easy access.

Nothing except its location
A tired old Glasgow hotel, once a beautiful town house, but now very tatty and scruffy. Service very poor.Kettle did not work properly, TV did not work properly, toilet not working properly.
